Mill Pages Magazine Launch

Millpages is a local authors collective, friends and writing buddies. The Magazine was first published several years ago as a way for the friends to share their works with the community. It is currently in its Second Volume – the first running 3 issues (all self-published through Amazon) – returning after a long hiatus. The First Issue of the Second Volume has earned the title “The Difficult COVID Issue” due to the difficulties of the times in which the editors were putting the magazine together. We all know what happened, not to downplay the trauma of the pandemic, but the magazine was a COVID casualty. The editors couldn’t meet up–weeks after they were added to the waitlist at Western Ave Studios. Fortunately, the magazine has been resurrected, albeit under new editorial staff. But the tales themselves, contained within the magazine, predate COVID by mere weeks. In a way, they are the final works of an entire society, the last things people said before our paradigm was upended.  And even after that,  the writers are still friends and are able to get together once a  month to make a lonely hobby feel a little less lonely.
