One City, Many Cultures Exhibit Grand Opening
September 23 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join us for the grand opening of a new exhibit One City, Many Cultures!
One City, Many Cultures is about how culture shapes and connects people and communities through the stories of Lowell over time. The range of diverse experiences represented throughout Lowell’s past and present is a strength, adding to the complexity and vibrancy of the city and the country. We hope that people can see themselves in the exhibit and better understand others by encountering perspectives and ways of life that are different from their own. Five-years in the making, Lowell National Historical Park is proud to open this community co-created exhibit.
The opening ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in Boarding House Park. After the ceremony, explore the exhibit space or take part in the celebration in Boarding House Park. Performances and activities will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will include local community organizations and performing arts groups! Bring the whole family and explore the immersive and interactive introduction to Lowell as a vibrant, multi-cultural city.
The event will take place at Boarding House Park and the Mogan Cultural Center (40 French Street). The event is free and open to all.
