Wellness on The Walkways: BARK Ranger Dog Walk

June 25, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

This free event begins at the Visitor Center (246 Market Street) and lasts about 90 minutes. Please plan for weather and bring water.

Bark Ranger walks are intended for well-behaved dogs; they must be on leashes 6′ or less (no retractable leashes). Free parking for program participants is available at the Hamilton Canal Innovation District Garage (350 Dutton Street). All federal park buildings are requiring masks at this time.

During Bark Ranger programs, pets and people walk at a leisurely pace, learning about the history of the area together as they go. As part of their position as role models, Bark Rangers follow the B.A.R.K. rules: Bag your poop, Always wear a leash, Respect wildlife, and Know where you can go. For the humans who frequently use park areas to exercise their pets, this series is a chance to gain a new perspective. This Bark Ranger program is part of the park’s Wellness on the Walkways programs.

Special note: Those who do not have pets are welcome to come along and learn with us on these walks.
