Night at the Museum: Hands-on Learning

Visit the Boott Cotton Mills Museum after hours and experience the historic weave room, all free of charge. Feel the beat of the looms as you step back in time and learn about the history of Lowell’s industrial revolution. Then head upstairs to explore the Tsongas Industrial History Center workshops to try your hand at weaving, engineering a vehicle, experiment on a canal system, and explore the suitcases of historic Lowell residences. Get a sneak peek of the field trip workshops that schools visit all year. This free event is part of the Night at the Museum series where you can visit the Boott Cotton Mills Museum after-hours on the third Thursday of each month to experience the museum in a new light.
