The Lowell Folk Festival
The Lowell Folk Festival runs Friday, July 29th through Sunday, July 31st. To view or download the schedule of performances click here. In addition to the music, you can check out Art in the Courtyard, Folkcraft Area, Foodways Demos, and the Family Fun Area. And let’s not forget the food!

Explore the Downtown Window Art created in partnership with the City of Lowell and Mosaic Lowell, featuring Lowell-practicing artists.
The Arts League of Lowell (ALL) is open Wednesday-Sunday from 12:00 – 4:00PM. Their current show is 3D: Considering the 3rd Dimension. The Greenwald Gallery at ALL has Margot Stage: Metal Mania.
The Brush Art Gallery & Studios is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11:00AM – 4:00PM and Sunday 12:00 – 4:00PM. Their current show is Satori in Paris: A Kerouac Inspired Exhibit. You can also explore the artist studios.
Curation250 is open Saturday-Sunday 10:00AM – 4:00PM. Their current show is VIBES, featuring Adam Spek, Ichabod, and Unknown Space.
Gallery Z is open Friday-Saturday 11:00AM – 10:00PM and Sunday 11:00AM-4:00PM. The current show in their main gallery is Soul Gardens by Donna Howard.
The Loading Dock Gallery is open Wednesday-Saturday, 12:00PM – 5:30PM. Their current show is Who We Are: Celebrating Diversity.
The New England Quilt Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00AM – 4:00PM. Their current special exhibits are Reflections of Light – recent works by Caryl Bryer Fallert-Gentry and Barbara Brackman’s “Hospital Sketches”.
The Whistler House Museum of Art is open Wednesday-Friday 10:00AM – 4:00PM.
Saturday, July 30th
1:00-4:00PM: artist Brooke Lambert will be celebrating her solo show opening at Coffee and Cotton at Mill No. 5.
5:00-7:00PM: Skribble.s Experience at CNCPT 6
8:00-10:00PM: 21+ Body Paint Glow Party at Trend
The Athenian Corner will have a takeout tent featuring spanakopita, stuffed grape leaves, and baklava.
CNCPT 6 will have champagne and brunch 11:00AM – 3:00PM on Saturday, July 30th and Sunday, July 31st.
Gormley’s Cafe will be offering special limited menu items, ice cream, and beer and wine for purchase through the weekend (the only place downtown to purchase beer from Navigation Brewing Company). They will also be open a bit later than usual.
Mill City BBQ & Brew has special menu items including fresh fruit lemonades, ice cream cones stuffed with pulled pork and pulled chicken, and street corn.
The Mira Ve food truck can be found inside at 144 Merrimack Street this weekend, offering a menu of cheese arepas, churros, and hot dogs.
Panela is hosting an Arepa Brunch Party on Sunday, July 31st from 11:00AM – 4:00PM, featuring music from DJ Luminati.
The Old Court will be serving Irish-themed specials (including a corned beef sandwich) in addition to their full menu all weekend.
Sahel Restaurant & Lounge will be offering a special menu, late night service, and entertainment all weekend. And, they are representing Cameron in the Opening Parade of Nations for the Folk Festival!
