WinterFest Youth Mural Competition

The 2024 WinterFest Youth Mural Competition is a wrap! Seven teams representing schools and community-based organizations came together on the Saturday of WinterFest to paint their masterpieces. Murals are on now display at Lowell City Hall through March 26, 2024.

This year’s theme:

My Lowell: Imagine you’ve just been commissioned to create a piece of public art for Lowell that reflects the fabric of the city’s past and hope for the city’s future. How would you pay homage to the individuals who have crafted the city to where it is today? How would you instill hope in the next generation of Lowellians?

Honorable Mentions:

Thank you to our judges: Representative Vanna Howard, Mayor Daniel Rourke, and Angela Ales. Additional thanks to YouthBuild Greater Lowell for building and moving the mural stands, and Greater Lowell Technical School for creating the trophy.

Young artists from the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell accept the 1st place trophy.
